My dual study programme at WESLINK GmbH

I'm Friederike Rudzicki and I'm currently completing my dual studies in media design at the IU Düsseldorf. After my training as a media designer, it was clear to me that I wanted to achieve even more. The dual study programme is perfect because it combines practice and theory, and then I can put what I've learned into practice right away in the company, which promises greater learning success.
So I go to university on Mondays and Tuesdays and spend the rest of the week at WESLINK.
In contrast to other degree programmes, this type is much more practice-oriented, which I think is very important, especially in the creative field, to get to know work processes and to experience the possibilities and limits of one's work.
Of course, the flexible working hours, the free drinks and the modern equipment in the new company building in the old primary school in Goxel are also convincing here at Weslink.
It is possible for me to set my alarm clock to snooze in order to come to work an hour later or to attend a doctor's appointment at noon, which makes this job very valuable (especially for trainees and students).
Besides the exciting projects, there are also fun team days or other activities that lighten up the incredibly hard working life and bring in variety. While we're at it: Despite the fact that mainly developers work here, I felt immediately welcome as a designer. The team works very well together and everyone has different areas of expertise where you can learn a lot from each other.
Overall, I really like the dual study programme with Weslink as my practical partner and I feel more than prepared for the next four semesters that lie ahead of me.
